AFOOT and light-hearted, I take to the open road,
wandering in a math blog, I hope to help you decode!
Ever rode a unicycle on a high wire? Ever made a visit to an unknown world in your mind? Ever had a problem confront you that you needed to find a logical solution? Any of these situations, and a multitude more can be resolved with the application of mathematical thinking.AFOOT and light-hearted, I take to the open road,
wandering in a math blog, I hope to help you decode!

When we think about math, we usually begin with the concept of numbers. But numerical quantities are simply one domain of mathematics.
The mathematical tree also contains the branches of geometry, measurement, patterns and algebra, data analysis, probability and statistics. A great display of the many domains that math includes comes from the Mathematical Atlas.

But many consider learning math to be more analogous to falling
off a cliff than climbing the tree of knowledge.
